Love St. Lucia, especially during the Creole Festival however; be prepared to pay between $30-$50 to travel around the island if you do not have access to your own transportation. Taxis are expensive however I would not drive on my own the first time visiting. It is a mountainous island with lots of twists, turns, slopes and locals going 60 miles/hr.

Saint Lucia Island, Saint Lucia
Okay, I have to say that out of all the vacations I've taken in my life, this year's trip to St. Lucia was tops. The island is absolutely gorgeous with its lush, tropical mountain peaks, beautiful beaches and clear waters. We stayed at the Sandals Grande Resort at the far end of the island, which I would highly recommend for those traveling without children. I would also recommend doing the zipline tour in the jungle. And, you definitely don't want to miss taking a boat ride around the island, which will give you a chance to take in the real beauty of the island.
