Novi Sad, Belgrade District, Serbia
The most North-European like Serbian city. Looks similar to Central Europe towns and cities. Has an unique charactern of a city with Balkan and Central European background at the same time. I strictly recommend the Old Town and Petrovaradin fortress at Danube shore.

Novi Sad is the capital of the northern Serbian province of Vojvodina, and the administrative centre of the South Bačka District.
Novi Sad is Serbia's second-largest city, after Belgrade.

*Since it was founded in 1694, Novi Sad became the centre of Serbian culture and earned its nickname Serbian Athens.

If it's nice weather take a walk to the park near to the river, and then walk to the beautiful fortress. Here you will find many artists that have made may of the building's chambers their working space.

Visti the state art gallery, it's very small, but maybe if many tourist visit it it will become great!

Sremski Karlovci, Belgrade District, Serbia
Delightful Vojvodina town with an atmosphere of Austro-Hungary a century ago. It is very small and you can walk it in a half an hour, but despite or because of this, it is charming and a lot of work has been done restoring buildings to what they were. Ideal as a half-day from Novi Sad.
