Make sure to go check out the robber's grave and the story behind it - it is a true story. Also get yourself some of the home made candy they sell in the main street. It's fabulous

Graskop, Mpumalanga Province, South Africa
Graskop is a small town just outside the Kruger National Park. Best tip for here: if you are interested in African art of all kinds, a funky, groovy, artistic, eclectic surrounding, stay at the Graskop Hotel . Its four owners are truly "groovy" dudes. The hotel is about 40 miles from Numbi Gate, one of the Kruger Park entrances and close to many scenic spots such as Pinnacle Rock, God's Window (awesome views...hence the name!) Blyde River Canyon and Bourkes Luck Potholes. The hotel bar is hip and you can sit in the courtyard and get connected to the internet. Order coffee and order some pancakes (thin crepe-style delights!).

When on the highway through Graskop, you will pass an information center with a small pancake restaurant. It is a must see in the greater panorama! You can choose from sweet or savory pancakes, the food is really good, and you will get a great feel for the town.
