It's a southern city of Spain in Andalucia. It has good beaches and some places to visit. And it also is Picasso's birth place, so there're something about Picasso.
- Sightseeing
1. Alcazaba (Fortress)
It's a Moorish fortress on the mountain, so it has a great view. You can find the entrance near the Teatro Romano(Roman Theatre). The Entrance Fee is really cheap. If you have a student card, you can get in with just 0,60€ ; unless, you have to pay about 3 €, but still it's not expensive for its good sight. Beautiful Fortress with pretty good garden.
2. Catedral de Malaga
It's a beautiful cathedral in the centre of the city. It has a nick name 'Manquita' that means a man who doesn't have an arm(in Spanish 'manco'), because normally it has to have two tower, but because of the financial problem, it has only one tower. You can visit the museum in the Cathedral. The Entrance to Cathedral costs about 3€.
3. Museum of Picasso
Because Malaga is Picasso's Birthplace, there are many things about him, and this museum is one of them. If you're interested in his painting, it would be good to visit. On every last sunday of each month, the entrance is free.
4. Castillo de Gibralfaro(Fortress Gibralfaro)
It's on the top of the mountain, so if you're going to visit there, you can take a walk but also you can take a lift. Visiting there by walk takes much time and energy. It has a magnific view. You can see whole Malaga, and also Plaza de Toro(Bull fight ring). The entrance fee is same as Alcazaba. Every Sunday, after 2:00 the entrance is free. Good tip? (0) Torremolinos, Andalucía Region, Spain If you are English and interested in drinking and smoking you'll love it! If you are not English and hate touristic areas - don't go there!!!! Whatch out for snobby English ladies owning beach bars and keeping 100 dogs in their villas! Loads of gay people - a rainbow city! Good tip? (0) Malaga, Andalucía Region, Spain Whenever we visited Spain we landed in Malaga and drove the rest of the way to Sotogrande (near Gibraltar); the people I worked for in Paris had their second house in Spain. The road between Malaga and Estapona is known locally as the road of death... because the local vehicle sport is known as bullfighting.... a car leaves the long line of cars and drives head on at full speed towards oncoming traffic and at the last minute they try to pull back into the line of traffic if the cars in the line will allow it.... many don't make it. There have been some horrific accidents with cars driving full speed into oncoming trucks... and noone slows down at all! Call it lunacy or extreme sport but it is very dangerous. I didn't really look around Malaga... mostly the airport and going to and from the place. Good tip? (0) Malaga, Andalucía Region, Spain When in Malaga check out Puerto Buenas and Antonio Banderas' club! Good tip? (0) Malaga, Andalucía Region, Spain wuhuu geilii city .. schöön warm .. xD Good tip?
