Sevilla, Andalucía Region, Spain Breakfast on serrano ham served in thin slices on buttered crisp-crusted rolls. Pair it with a cafecito, the Spanish answer to espresso and suddenly, you are one of the locals...don't be surprised if you are the only tourist in what lookslike a crowd of wall-streeters neatly dressed in expensive suits (yes, mostly men...I don't know where the ladies take breakfast...at home?). You can find this breakfast at any one the city's many bars; they turn into coffeeshops at dawn. Take in a bullfight. The ring here is special. The cathedral, a must-see, is overwhelmingly beautiful. Good tip? (0) Sevilla, Andalucía Region, Spain This is definitely one of my favorite cities in Spain. The locals seem exceptionally friendly. There are many sidewalk cafes where one can while away the hours or just take a quick coffee if you are in a sightseeing rush. The city seems young, energetic and yes, sexy. A good place to stay is Hosteria de Laurel at the Plaza de las Venerables. It sits on a tiny, picturesque square. You feel as if you are in a very special place once you step into the covered courtyard. Rooms are spacious and the prices are reasonable. The restaurant is superb and it oozes charm with its wine barrel decorated interior. Lunch of gazpacho (this is the home town of this famous cold soup), Serrano ham (every bit as good as that of Parma) and a potato omelette will leave you fortified for the day. Remember eating before ten or eleven at night means that you will be dining in a virtually empty restaurant. No matter how much time you planned on spending in Sevilla, try to stay longer. Along with Barcelona, this city deserves as much time as you can spend there. For a good, cheap meal that will stick to your ribs, try Las Meninas on Santo Tomas. You will find the place jamming with young locals, especially if your are there at around midnight. Good tip? (0) Sevilla, Andalucía Region, Spain 2 words: Hostel Sonia. The two gents who run it are absolutely sweet and kind-natured. It's very decent and last I checked, the price is right. The entrance leads to a small yet charming plaza w/ bars for a quick tubo or bocadillo. Good tip? (0) Sevilla, Andalucía Region, Spain Bel posto eh..già sevilla..mabbaffanculo vah Good tip?
