The airport bus is a convenient and good value service back to the city centre - but the buses only accept pre-paid tickets or credit cards. To get on the bus quicker buy your ticket beforehand if possible - available at the shop at the airport, or 2 for 1 tickets with Gothenburg pass, which you can purchase there or purchase online. The Gothenburg pass then allows you unlimited travel on public transport as well as entries into attractions in town

If you ever visit Gothenborg you should do a Paddern Boat Tour. It's an easy way to get a first impression of the City, a few information about the historical background and where to go after the Paddern Tour. You don't need to speak swedish because it's all bilingual, usually english and swedish. Even if you tend to become seasick, it's no problem at all because you won't drive out of the city.

A great thing to do if you like outdoor life is to rent a canoe and go canoeing in the Vättlefjäll nature reserve. The nature reserve is situated about half an hour north of the city centre and is easily accessible by tram and bus.
