Goteborg, Sweden`s third largest city. The typical scandinavian atmosphere. Beautiful city, clean and friendly locals. Here, can we find the famous recreationalpark LISEBERG. We`ve been here several times because of the kids, they enjoy the rides and everything in the park one can experience. Scandic hotel offers a reasonable price to families.

Göteborg is a charming smaller city on Sweden's west coast, and it might be hard to realize that this is actually second biggest city in Sweden.

With lot of greenery and parks, it is much more relaxing than for example Stockholm or Malmö.
Pace and perhaps even attitude is bit different.

Göteborg still uses rail transport in city: trams or so called spårvagnar. There are many new models of the trams now, but it is still common even with the old models from 1960s/70s. They might be less convinient with their oddly constructed doors, but in general they are fun... and could actually be considered to be part of the attractions in city.

There are quite few museums, churches, a moderate size convention center, stadiums for bigger music and sport events, and not to forget: an opera house.
Liseberg is local amusment park and provides rides, fun and events for all from mid springtime until mid september, every year. Recent years they have started with winter holiday events as well (December-January.)

Göteborg is one of quite many Swedish university cities. For a smaller city like this, the list of events is usually quite impressive. Decent club scene. Restaurants can be pretty good experience and there are nice places where to treat yourself and your company matching for all levels of economy.

Some of the best restaurants are "Pasta etc" (cheap, yet stylish, and very tasty foods), "LaSombrita" (greatest tapas I've ever tasted, anywhere... decent price), "28+" (fine dining and delicious dishes with matching prices), ... just to mention few.

Göteborg is said to be one of the best cities in Europe for good restaurants, so make sure to find your favorites during your stay.
