Montreux is best visited during the Montreux Jazz Festival. During the festival there are some big names who appear on the main stage but make sure to visit as many of the small 'caveaux', bands playing in the cellars of bars, and watch out for jam sessions at the end of the night/early mornings.

Cheateau de Chillion is beautiful, not much else to see. But close by are several other sites. Take the train for a half day trip/
