Most spectacular are the anual filmfestivals in the old town of Locarno, always in the late summer nights. There are many fine restaurants along the lake (also see Ascona). Not far away from Locarno, in Vall Verzasca, is the enormous famous "James Bond" dam where you can take your adrenalin to the top by doing bungey-jumping! Urs

In Tenero you can go Camping at one of those five or six places. Nearly all of the are directly at the Lago Maggiore. It is beautiful for swimming and sunbathing. With the buses you can go for a day to the rivers Maggia or Verzasca. They have very clean water. In the Valle Verzasca the water is freezing cold. The nightlife is in Tenero bad. You have to go by train or bus to Locarno or to Ascona to the Mad Wallstreet.
