Windermere, England, United Kingdom
If the weather doesn't allow you to take a lake-trip, try a walk to the upper town - cute cosy gardens beside the road, and at the top of the hill there's a meadow, where one shouldn't be afraid to meet a cow and from which a fabulous scenery of the roofs and the lake and the hills can be watched.

Grizedale, England, United Kingdom
Hiking around Grizedale Forest is a great way to get in touch with nature. If you are bogged down by the urban jungle, a quick stroll around this forest is a good way to rejuvenate you. It's an easy enough hike for people who are not considered experts in fell walking, but a certain degree of fitness is recommended.
