Do NOT stay at the Holiday Inn at Glasgow. You'll get better accommodations for a lot cheaper elsewhere in the city.

It rains all the time and the food is not the best. Fortunately the city is very nice and scottish people too

Make sure you visit The Arches nightclub

Strangely for a Scottish city there are statues of the English queens and kings here. Some of the architecture in Glasgow is older than a few hundred years but most is recent.

If you have the possibility to watch a match of Celtic Glasgow, do it! There are some of the best supporters I ever saw.

Good for shopping, bring some money along!

Everything you need is in Glasgow - great food, lots of bars, great music venues and a bit of danger.

Ok, this might sound weird but it eventually isn't. One the best places to go see in Glasgow is te Necropolis. Yes, the cemetary. It develped on a hill and goes all the way up from the bottom. There's a walkway to follow, and if you take it you'l never feel scared or anything, actually you might feel "in peace". Haha. Once you get to the tp, I assure you one of the best views of the whole city. I've been there by day and by night, and when its dark, the smoke from the chimnies make it even more worth seeing.

Get to the airport early...because it's huge and each terminal is a few miles away from each other. There are buses that go to and from both but it's always good to give yourself time
