Birmingham is a beautiful city that sits on northern alabama. I loved the embassy suites there...we evacuated there during hurricane dennis....lots of good shopping, and you can't go there without eating at Ruths Chris Steakhouse...Yum!

Try Aldridge Botanical Gardens for a nice getaway. The scenic little place is hidden in Hoover and showcases hydrangeas (including the Snowflake Hydrangea which was patented by Eddie Aldridge) as well as walking paths, picnic areas, a lake and other local flora.

It was kool!!! I went to the airport there it was big!!!
