Barrow is awesome place. I had a lot of fun there. I saw the first playoff football game, 2000 year old mounds that used to be someones houses. I also was able to participate in a whale hunt by helping pull a whale out of the ocean.

For those of you planning to go to barrow, I reccomend the 1 day tour, or 2 days if you just like to chill at an arctic beech for hours on end. the town is small, you can see all the sites several times a day.

For me it was an awesome trip, and it was really worth the trip, but I don't ever plan on going back. but I do suggest going for a day.

Even in the summer it is slightly old, I suggest taking at least a sweater, because it will probably be in the 40s. I was there this October(2008) it was 20 degrees, snowy, and windy,

There where several hotels and restaurants.
Even flying up there was a great time to talk to the locals. most of the people on the plane were from Barrow.
The town is very hospitable.
