I could live here someday. The weather is mild but not too hot all year round, and its so close to the Grand Canyon. Cool area of the US

there are a lot of cute bars and pubs. But dont't go in such which are right at the mainstreets.. Ask somebody which is from flagstaff for a good place and you'll see the real life there :)

Flagstaff is beautiful...be sure to check out the Arizona snowbowl. It's real cool to see a ski mountain in Arizona. And I recommend heading out to sunset crater national park and following the road all around to wupatki national monument. It's an old pueblo dwelling and is pure beauty!

Catch the overnight train from LA direct east to Flagstaff and arrive there at 0630 - great sleeping in the chairs. Dont forget to keep your baggage ticket for bag collection - they check ! Stay at the local hostel which is three minutes walk from the train station - it clean, cheap and provides good feeds. And there is the visitors book to read thru....

Flagstaff is a beautiful part of the USA. Although it can be a bit cooler than other places nearby, such as the Grand Canyon, because of its altitude. Some nice restaurant and local bars are in the ares and there are also a few local shops selling art and crafts made by the local indians from nearby reserves.
More than anything else though, the stunning scenery with sweeping views of the mountains are unsurpassed other than at Yosemite National Park.
