If given the choice between the glass bottom boat and the semi-submersible, take the latter because the first has you looking down at the fish while the second allows you to look the fish eye to eye in a safe environment.

Avalon is a lot of fun. There are many activities to do their based around the tourism usually fed by cruise ships docking off the coast. I recommend the surface sumbarine or the zodiak jet sled.

bring alot of money because there are tons of cute shops. take a guided tour of catalina island, you might get to see buffaloes. take a ride through town in a golf cart. and eat at the seafood restaurant right on the water..yummy fish and chips.

The island has an AMAZING....and i mean that in most litterall of ways, hike view called Insparation Point and the view is......incredible.

Beautiful place to spend a day/ weekend. A bit pricey but worth it with the right person. I highly recommend scuba diving off of one of the many points around the island. Hamilton Cove is the place to stay if youve got the money

A must see if you come to L.A is Santa Catalina Island . It is a beautiful small little island, with a absolut mediterrean feeling . You can get there by taking a ferry from Long Beach. Once you arrived there you will not fell like beeing in the USA. You will find the people there using small golf carts instead of using cars to get around...amazing...you will love it, if you are into nature, nostalgic feeling, relaxing, etc . Its nothing if you are into nightlife, wall-markets, etc. It is worth to stay overnight in one of the small little hotels in Avalon...JUST WONDERFUL TO ENJOY LIFE YOURSELF
