Sunny Brae is more of a living location as opposed to a travel destination. Located in the "gulch" of Arcata, CA, Sunny Brae is a small subdivided type community that is surrounded by steep hills and redwood trees. There is oneMexican restaraunt in Sunny Brae that is pretty good. You can walk to the Arcata Square within a few minutes.

The Silverado Hotel. Doesn't look like much from the outside, but very clean and comfortable rooms.

Eureka can have rain and fog almost any time of year, but a trip to nearby Fortuna will usually mean a sunny day.
