nice place to visit you have to rent a car no matter what avoid East LA food is healthy and good (in general) weather is usually very nice, rains little - it's quite dry, chilly at night don't let clouds fool you, it's smog, so go to the beach anyway. Beverly Hills and Westwood are my favorite areas

Worked there for a couple years (at another motorcycle shop). I've had run ins with: Lawerence Fishburn, Kramer (from Seinfeld), Harrison Ford (previous customer from another shop), Danny Bonaducci, Dante (filipino kid from Biker Boyz), Fabio ('I can't believe its not butter')..... Great experience but tired of the plasticity, superficial stuff. Just Hollywood I guess..... there also is: walk of fame, Mann's Gromman Chinese Theater, Kodak Center, Formosa Cafe(Friday Night hang out), Miss Kitty's, Whisky Pete's, The Roxy, The Ivar, Velvet Margarita, Beauty Bar, The Cat and the Fiddle, The Vanguard, Circus, The Arena, and a slurry of clubs. At the intersection of Hollywood and Highland you can also find: Ripley's Believe It or Not, Wax Museum. Subway station on every street, and buses, but shut down at 2:00am. There are other trendy spots like Birds on Franklin ave.

LA and surrounding areas are great places to visit. Of course you're bound to have a star sighting somewhere. Check out the Hollywood Walk of Fame and Beverly Hills.

Prepare a lot of coins for meter parking!

Go an relax at Venice-Beach

When in Rome... oh wait that should be When in L.A. ... If you plan on hitting the Hills, but you don't want to look like a poor S.O.B. buy something small, and walk around with the bag. See if they can put it in alarger bag and walk around with that. It sounds cheesy and stupid, but who wants to look like a tourist while walking around Beverly Hills? Hands not full, but with a little something will make you fit in a little more. Amazing Mexican food in LA... 2nd only to Mexico itself! Mexican / Latin fusion with Asian is AMAZING!!! Highly recommend trying it! Great street shows around Chinese theater. If you are lucky you may catch a B-Boy crew. Reminded me of NYC back in the day. Sex Museum is a waste of money. Nightlife is amazing, with a nice varied mix of it all. Not only are there Hip-Hop clubs a plenty, but there are also some of the best Rock, Latin, Goth, Techno, even country clubs in the LA area.

Don't go to Los Angeles. It will only make you sad.

Take the Disneyland Drive exit off Interstate 5 in Anaheim, California--just south of Los Angeles and you are there. We came armed with a seven day pass and used every day of it. Sure there are rides for the liitle munchkins but we decided to go on every ride at least once and see every show at least once so that we could say that we have done everything there is to see or ride at Disneyland! Our favourite ride would have to be the Indiana Jones Adventure and you should experience this first! Star tours, Space mountain and the haunted mansion were also fantastic rides. Disneyland is rather expensive to purchase food and we found ourselves making sandwiches etc to carry in a backpack.
