In a city where everything is infamously fake, try out the Farmers Market, a LA landmark, for a refreshing change. Fresh produce,international cuisine and lots of lil trinkets.

the metro area's huge- bring a good map with you and a specific idea of where you wanna go

If you're bummin your way through the states this is suprisingly a good place to visit. Get to venice beach and you'll find allot of strange people but also other travelers. If you go to the far northern or southern ends of the beach you can sleep there without being disturbed. There are locations throught venice where you can eat for free at least twice day, free showers in the morning under the santa monica pier (good spot to meet people already living there to find out about meals). You can stay there indefinitely without spending a dime. Oh and i think it's every saturday night, although it might be sunday there's a huge drum circle about 2 hours before sunset right on the beach.

Walk of fame! Chinese Theater! Kodak Theater! Gibt so viel zu sehen in Hollwood!

Number 1 to visit: Manhattan Beach Brewery

Universal Studios and Hollywood are nice, Manhattan Beach is nice for a relaxed evening, but overall I did not like L.A all too much

There's some good shopping in West Hollywood, but Hollywood is pretty overrated.
