Los Angeles, California, United States Hollywood is a strange place. Stay out of the right hand lanes as much as possible, you can park AND drive in the same lanes! Good tip? (0) Los Angeles, California, United States The funny thing about visiting Los Angeles is that no one will admit that they aren't from there. Do not ask for directions unless you're dealing with someone you are sure knows what they are talking about. I recommend police officers, hotel staff, travel guides or bus drivers. Otherwise, use a good map or navigation system. Asking random people will most likely get you hopelessly lost and possibly find you in the wrong part of town. Good tip? Bring a backpack with all your gear so you don't have to make trips to the car. When you do leave, if by car, leave early or late to beat the traffic (it probably won't make a difference). Good tip? (0) Los Angeles, California, United States Keep your eyes open. The drivers are crazy. Good tip? (0) Los Angeles, California, United States be sure to rent a car - it helps a lot to travel around! Good tip? (0) Los Angeles, California, United States Watch out! Always a lot of traffic! Good tip? (0) Los Angeles, California, United States the best way to go around is by car.
