Castro Street in Mountain View has some amazing restaurants. Park for free in one of the garages that are in the area (signs will direct you to the side streets where you can access them) and walk up and down the street until you find your dining option.

Mountain View is like the cheap Mexican food capital of...well Mountain View at least. La Bamba, Tapatios, countless other GREAT local places makes this a must stop place if you're craving a good old taco or burrito.

Mountian view is in the heart of siliconvalley ,downtown at castro is great palce for nightout with european style coffeeshops and diverse ethnic cuisines ,must see .Nice place to live except if you want to settle down with kids there ,no no bad schools.Overall in the middle of north and south great for ppl who carpool to sfo or towards milpitas ,ppl who work for sunmicro systems,intel ,oracle ect.

The place of The Famous Stanford University of California.

Blink and you missed it. This is as LA as Northern California Gets. Almost Encino! It's how Primus can be from CA and not be skater-punk.

Flat area, nice mexican restaurant!

Menlo Park is very famous for its technology firms that help comprise Silicon Valley -- Menlo Park was the birth place of Google. Menlo Park has great access to the beach at Santa Cruz and other Bay Area locations. Stanford University is located in nearby Palo Alto.

The greatest little downtown area with restaurants to fit any budget. Although, as a resident, I prefer California Ave over the much more touristy University Ave. On California Ave there is definitely fewer people but with the same quality of restaurants.
