What's not to love about Lake Tahoe?  It's a beautiful body of water that has all the fun water activities surrounded by gorgeous mountains.  Summer is nice but winter is divine... some of my best memories are skiing Heavenly with the lake and mountains as backdrops.  And for adults, the gambling/nightlife is a big draw at night (not that you'd catch me at the blackjack table... that would be my amateur gamblin' mom!!!)

The most romantic place ever. The best views, the most outdoor activities and plenty of great eateries. In my top ten places ever.

Lake Tahoe is one of the greatest place on earth. In winter and summer a great place for sport like skiing, snowboarding, mtb, swimming....The color of the alpine lake is almost frighting and reminds to something unnatural. Loads of Motels are around and you will find lots of opportunities to spend some quality time there.

Pace yourself on the Roulette table. Bring warm clothes in the winter. Bring lots of cash and expect to spend it. Go snowboarding! Free camping in the Monte Bleu parking garage.

There are alot of activites you can do like swimming, and they have alot of museums about different things like the buildings and life like before. Dangerous things can happens like falling off a mountain, stuck in water, being lost; just be careful!!! Bring what you think you going to need in a small hot town.

One of the most picture worthy lakes in the world. Lake Tahoe. The mountains surrounding the Lake are incredible and snowcapped year round.

Genoa is a city East of South Lake Tahoe, make sure you visit it, it's such a beautiful town. The locals are super friendly.

You have the option of doing the "natural" thing and hiking, biking, kayaking, etc. Or you can go down the street to the Nevada border and gamble at one of the many casinos (one has a Hard Rock Cafe). Either way, it's a fun place with beautiful scenery all along the lake. We did a "dinner dancing" cruise on the lake that was worth it.

Staying in South Lake Tahoe? Make sure you're in basecamp hotel. Nice, new/renovated hotel. In the city center an just twenty meters from the Nevada border. Rent a bhike at the hotel and go explore the beautiful Lake Tahoe. Don't forget to go to Emerald Bay!!!
