Anaheim - the home to Disneyland and many other great theme parks...the best thing for Anaheim - stay at one of the resorts :-)

A word to the wise, Anaheim is a very family friendly area and any indescretions with the law are not tolerated. If you cannot behave yourself stay out of Anaheim, for your own safety.

Disney and Knott's Berry Farm

Visit the Back Bay. You rent kayaks and other boats for reasonable prices at the Newport Aquatic Center.

Irvine's newest shopping, restaurant and movie location is called The District and is located on Jamboree Road at Barranca. Shop from Costco, a HUGE Whole Foods, Target and a host of other stores, and eat at restaurants like Panera Bread all the way to The Winery. Lots of choices. Tip - off Jamboree, enter off of Warner and save time and traffic!

Disneyland, of course ;)

Universal Studios and Disney World are amazing to visit: you just feel like a kid again.. Don't forget to go into the Van Helsing haunting house in Universal Studios: it's just so much fun!

Buy a Park Hopper ticket for Disneyland and California Adventure Park so you can go between the 2 parks. You will need 2-3 days to see everything.

Most inexpensive area to stay in L.A. and of course close to the fun theme parks.

Anaheim is a nightmare unless you enjoy tourists, and are a fan of fast food chains.

Oh, and there's Disneyland.
