Willow, a restaurant really close to the metro station, has AMAZING food - it may be relatively expensive, but the chefs are so innovative and able to make anything taste incredible that it's completely worth it for one meal out of your trip.

Generous Georges Pizza--we found this place researching online and it was a fun local joint! They have a crazy atmosphere (think bright pink walls, bikes and rockets all over the ceiling, old gas tank, signs all over the place... tie dyed shirts)... When you order a water you get a pitcher--for every person! We had their fried ravioli (DELICIOUS!!! I highly recommend this) and their taco pizza. They make a thick crust pizza that is LOADED with toppings! We couldn't eat very much but it was sooooo good! It's a place that we will go again next time we are in DC.
