Definitely bring your bathing suit. The water is warmer than you think it is.

the weather can change pretty rapidly, so if you rent a convertible be well-versed in how to put the top up. Also the surrounding highways have lanes that end suddenly which are used for turning. be CAREFUL on these if it's raining, it's very easy to slip out.

It's quaint and quiet with lots of little beach shops, ice cream shops, tourist shops, and the most popular restaurant on the beach, The Beach House (how original...) that's where we locals go for sunsets, drinking and fishing and just hanging out!

Check out the Sand Bar at the end of the beach for awesome sun downers.
