Fun place to go. Love the beaches. Use the public transportation to get around or walk to avoid scary local drivers ;) The spring pirate fest is a lot of fun too. Keep your possessions close and don't leave anything visible in your car or you will most likely experience a car break in.

Clearwater Beach is ranked among the top beaches in America for a reason. Check it out!

Stay at "Gram's Place" Hostel on Tampa Heights. You save some money and the hostel is just amazing. For me the craziest Hostel in the U.S. and the best attraction in town. If you are a musician or if you're a music lover, you will love this place. It is sad that the owner Mark Holland isn't alive anymore, he was a great host and a worldclass musician. But go to his former home and you will see, what I'm talking about. Enjoy it!

Def. go to one of the theme parks and after it rains all over you....take your clothes off in the parking lot!

North Beach at Fort DeSoto State Park is beautiful and family friendly with concession, bathrooms, and walking paths.
