Great college town!  About 25 minutes away from Kansas City.  Check out the local music venues for shows.  Usually the best ones come around Spring.

Good grief! I only went here so that I could say, "Let's get the hell out of Dodge." Well, I meant it. The place smelled like meat.

Not a place I would visit again.  The "Wizard of Oz" appeal wears off very quickly.  If you can afford, stay in the Homewood Suites Inn.  It is worth it.  Dinner and Breakfast included with the stay.

For the best Thai food, be sure to visit 'Lulu's Noodles' in downtown Kansas City, MO.

Mass Street on weekends is alot of fun. I recommend staying at the Marriott off of Mass Street so you can enjoy the college night life without having to worry about parking and getting lost.

Downtown Kansas City rolls up the sidewalks on evenings and weekends. If you're looking for shopping or restaurants, look elsewhere.

there's nothing there except Sprint and BBQ places! Move on, drive through

Downtown Kansas City has gone through a revitalization now, and has much more to offer than it ever did. The Power Light District (stores, restaurants and bars) located in downtown next to the new Sprint Center, plus there's Westport (cafes, bars and nightclubs) and the Country Club Plaza (cafes, shopping and great restaurants).

When passing through Haven, one will find that it has a small town feel. One reason for that is that Haven is a small town. The schooling system is the beating heart in the community, without it Haven would cease to exist. The only place to get food is down at the local Quickshop. Definatly not a place to go site-seeing, Haven is a more of a settle down and raise a family right kind of place. Enjoy your travels!
