Stay and the Frenchmen Hotel. It is steps away from the French Quarter and you don't have to pay French Quarter prices.

Nice place to travel to for sightseeing and attractions. Nice neighbor hood. Casinos close by.

This is a lot of fun...the night life is amazing, but bring money, since you will want to keep buying the GREAT drinks. in the morning, there are great places to eat, and there is a lot of places to visit, even with children!

My frst time in New Orleans was in late October and the weather was wonderful - very mild.  Then I went back the following year in late-August.  The heat and humidity are nothing to laugh at.  If it's never quite hot enough for you then check out New Orleans in August (it's cheaper and less crowded at that time as well since it's their "off-season) - but if you are not a fan of the heat then it's better to go during the autumn or winter months.

My favorite is Bourbon and the Harris Casino. Party and play poker humm my fav.
