Grand Blanc is close to Bishop Int'l Airport and convenient to Hwy 75. It's the safest area to live and stay in the blighted former auto manufacturing town. Communities seem to be holding up as most residents are medical, law enforcement or executive personnel.

Battle Creek, Michigan is home to both cereal empires Kellogg and Post. If you get a chance, go and tour the factories. I was there as a child and unfortunately we didn't make it to a tour :(

Bavarian House and Zehnder's have absolutely thee best food. Highly recommend eating at both restaurants. Riverplace has some nice shops. Bronner's is a Christmas heaven, all year round.
