Kansas City is one of the US homes of Barbeque. KC masterpiece, has some shops in the city, including one at the airport. Gate's Barbeque is another classic Kansas City Barbeque Restaurant.

As a bosnian you can have a great time in Bosnian restaurants like Gribic or in Bars like Milano!

We always stay off the "strip" (76 highway) to avoid the traffic and general crankiness that brings. Check out motels around Fall Creek and near Silver Dollar City if you're in Branson for the lake or the amusement parks. Silver Dollar City is always great, don't forget it's sister park Celebration City. It's a nice little park that's only open in the evenings in the summer. Don't waste money at the buffets on the strip, they're overpriced and bland. We've always had good luck with the food at the amusement parks and a few restaurants away from the main drag. Especially good is Danna's BBQ near Fall Creek Inn and in Branson West.

Salem pretty much rocks. It is the gateway to the Current River. Lot of good canoing happening here. Not much in the way of good food. Check out Montauk State Park for a nice restaurant and good trout fishing, it is just 15 mins down the road.

Our family has been to St. Louis a lot. Our favorite restaurant has to be the Spaghetti Factory. It's got a fun atmosphere and delicious spaghetti! Best of all it's right down by the river front!

Fitz's is a great local restaurant. They bottle their own soda right there!! It's a fun restaurant downtown in a funky district. The burgers were GREAT!

Silver Dollar City the day after Thanksgiving is beautiful! The rides are fun no matter what time of year you go and their shows and food are always good! We really loved watching Scrooge. It was like getting a broadway show for the price of our ticket! We LOVED the night's light up Christmas Parade, the hot chocolate in light up cups (I loved it as well as my son), the kettle corn... Oh my goodness. It's a great experience!

The Companion Bread Store / resturant on Clayton in Ladue is a great place for just about any sandwich you can think of and a warm bowl of soup.  Great place for lunch.
