DO NOT DRIVE ON LAS VEGAS BOULEVARD! To get around to the casinos, use Industrial Road instead.

Walk with lots of money. There is so much to do you can never get bored. The best place to stay is at a hotel on the strip. They allow you to enter any of the hotels and use the facilities; bathrooms, restaurants (fabulous food) etc. plus they all have shops....some even have a whole shopping mall. Everything is beautiful, clean and the people are all very friendly and helpful. There are alot of shows in the evening for everyones taste plus some free shows as well. For transportation take the Deuce. It is a double decker bus which is very reliable and comes along pretty often. It's cheap too. Check the weather channel before you go outside. For most of the time I was there it was nice and warm then suddenly one day very windy with hurricane force winds and a wicked wind chill. The only negative is that some of the casinos tend to smell like smoke so if you are not a smoker this will really get to you!

Since Las Vegas is all about frolicking about The Strip, you'd be better off staying in a hotel located on The Strip, as opposed to a cheaper alternative located miles away, if you're strapped for time and can ill afford a rental car. By staying in a hotel on The Strip, you can easily walk wherever you need to go.

Drive out to the West Rim of the Grand Canyon. The sky bringe is worth the ticket price even though the pricing is lame and irritating. If they could charge an extra fee for looking at teh canyon while walking on the bridge, they would. They will not let you talk your camera on the bricge so they can charge extra for their photo. Just assume you are going to pay $100 to $150 a person and try to ignore the bad service. The view is worth it. Unlike the Grand Canyon National Park, this part of the grand canyon is still rough. No guard rails keep you away from the edge of a 4000+ foot drop. It is breath taking.

I have stayed in several of the upper-end hotels and for my money nothing beats The Hotel at Mandalay Bay. And better yet use www.usairwaysvacations.com to book your trip and save big.

Cirque du Soleil ( Zumanity ...VERY sexy and very adult, truly a MUST see!). Bette Midler. Cirque du Soleil ( O , the most difficult one to get tickets for and the one I liked least of the three; it was just somehow over the top). Bette Midler. Cirque du Soleil ( Mystere ). For a wonderful daytrip, rent a car and head to Death Valley. You will find your best picture spots at Zabriskie Point. Avante garde Italian film director Michelangelo Antonioni was so fascinated by this spot, he made a movie (his only American venture) named Zabriskie Point here.
