Travel Tips - Sightseeing & AttractionsAtlantic City, New Jersey, United States A small Las Vegas; hotels and attractions cannot be compared to Las Vegas, of course, but Atlantic City has ocean as an extra.. Good tip? (0) Atlantic City, New Jersey, United States If you're like me and not really into gambling, the Boardwalk is great. Not only can you head down to the beach at any time, it also allows you to see a lot of the area and some of the original streets from Monopoly. Also, to save money, eat outside the casinos. Good tip? (0) Atlantic City, New Jersey, United States Ah, Atlantic City. All I can say about this town is that it is extremely addictive. Famous for it's casinos and nightlife, you can definitely count on good ol' A.C. for an awesome time. Whether you're at the slots, or playing a friendly game of Black Jack, or risking it all at a 1-2 table you're more than likely to have a blast. For those individuals who prefer not to gamble, there are plenty of options available. Take your pick from concerts, to museums exhibits, designer outlets and top of the line restaurants. And of none of these captures your fancy, there is always the Boardwalk and the beach at your fingertips. Although Bank of America is the reigning bank of Atlantic City, casinos are always available for cash advances, cashing in checks and even sending/receiving money orders and/or Western Union. Also, a good tip for you poker players: Mike and I recently discovered that poker regulars at most casinos who have accrued enough credit on their account can actually stay at the casino for as little as $45. Just call and ask. If you are not a casino regular, look for deals at hotels at least 5 miles outside of the city. There are plenty of accomodations in the surrounding areas. We actually stayed in a nice, king sized hotel suite with a jacuzzi for around $250 for 2 weekend nights back in June. So just do some research and you're bound to find something. Be sure to bring a little spending money, casual clothing, beach/pool attire and at least one classy evening outfit for the casino. It's always good to dress to impress in any casino. Also, don't forget to tip your dealers and your cocktail waitresses. Good tip? (0) Atlantic City, New Jersey, United States What can I say other than legalized gambling on the East Coast??? It's a pretty good time haven't been to Las Vegas but. I prefered Gulfport and Biloxi in comparison to gambling towns. Good tip? (0) Atlantic City, New Jersey, United States Atlantic City is a fun place for adults. The boardwalk and mall is more for kids. Keep your belongings close to you. And if you choose to go as a family there is a beach and a mall with an arcade plus more. There is plenty to do.
