Point Pleasant Beach, New Jersey, United States
Take the North Jersey Coast Line train (NJ Transit) from Newark Penn station to P P Beach via Long Branch. Point Pleasant Beach is called P P Beach on the ticket! I love this abbreviation! Go 5 blocks to your left at PP Beach and you hit the beach. The water is still refrigerator-cold during May, so play at your own risk :). Amazing fishing-activity at the far-end of the beach, so if you have fishing equipment, be sure to take those along, because there is enough fish for all! As for me, I picked up a smooth white stone which the waves kept bringing over to the shore :)
