new york is unreal, a place i never wanted to leave, nor will i ever forget.  tip: experience the underground market, even if you don't buy anything it worth it to follow a little chinese lady into the deapth of china town through a store front into a warehouse just to see all of those bags and watches, its fun! tip: eat in little italy during the day, same menu as the evening, half of of the price . . . the food is unreal!! tip: avoid fifth avenue and shop everywhere else, with all of the boutiques and unique coutour shops who needs another holister t? tip: the staten island ferry ride is extremely boring tip: central park requires a ten day visit all on its own, the place is huge!! tip: on the lower east side avoid the avenues past the letter "d" apparently the neighbourhood is a little territorial. tip: have fun! cuz there is no better place:)

Ride the subway! It's the most easily navigable subway system, in my opinion (but bring hand sanitizer!). Go on Memorial Day weekend, because everyone's off to the Hamptons so the city is relatively "quiet" and you can walk right in to almost any restaurant you want! Was wonderful.

culture, culture, culture - i love the theaters and you can get in at a reasonable price, just look for matinees and same day tickets...

NYC hostel on 34th street between Bryant Park and the Empire State was an excellent place on a top notch location. Would definately stay there again when I come back

The corner stores with the awnings in New York that are open 24 hours a day are called 'bodegas'.

China town in NYC is a must for anyone that loves good Dim Sum. Ive eaten at Mandarin Court several times and will go back again. Its at 61 Mott St in between canal and banyard.

Find a New York pizza joint and you will keep wanting to go back...while you are there also go to a New York Yankees game...!!!
