When camping in and around the tulsa region, look closely for scorpions. Some years they can be very numerous, even inside well maintained cabins.

Before you visit Tulsa, check and see what is happening at the Tulsa Concention Center, it's always showcasing an array of performances and activities that are sure to intice everyone. Also, check out the HUGE indoor iceskating rink at the basement level of the shopping center there!

Nice art museum otherwise not really alot to see or do in Tulsa.

The lighting of Yutica Square on Thanksgiving night is something to go see if you are in the area.

Be sure to have a look in the neighborhoods surrounding the Southern Hills golf course. The PGA has hosted major golf tournaments here. Very lush and beautiful. Oh, to play a round here. Tulsa is a great little city. Maybe one of Oklahoma's best kept secrets. You will experience seasons, here. Very hot in Summer; very cold in Winter.

Tulsa has an interesting little live music scene. Many of the bands suck but some you can at least bang your head to a little. The better bands can get you moving but will always sound like something that has been done before. It's not bad for inexpensive entertainment though. If you're in the area check out the areas where the bars and clubs are grouped together the tightest. On the weekend it makes it easy to hop around to get a feel for the nightlife.
