The Philadelphia tourist bus - the "Phlash" - is a very good value at 2 usd per ride or 5 usd per day, and is the best way to get to far away places (for example Philadelphia Museum of Art).

I wasn't there very long but i went in october and its very nice as far as temperature goes. The people are busy but willing to help out if you need it. There is A LOT of sightseeing to do so you have to get a pamphlet when you arrive at the airport. There are taxies, car rental companies, busses, and airports as far as transportation goes and the city rarely sees smog. If going in the winter, bring a coat! Also, if you're a tourist, bring lotsa money cause there is stuff you'll want to buy. Keep in mind what you'll actually use though. Spending is an easy thing to do there.

Pat's King of Steaks is a great place to get some authentic philly cheesesteaks! You better be ready to order, unless you want to be sent to the end of the line! It's the amazing food that brings people here, not the friendly atmosphere.

Take a day off and visit the art museum. I checked out their collection of weapons and armor, and they also have a huge collection of paitings. Well worth a trip.
