Home of J.T where I just happened to be when he had a concert and so I went and saw it.
Largely influenced by rock n' roll.

I've been here twice now and enjoyed myself both times. The barbecue is great and the sites are very enjoyable. I look forward to visiting again.

Of course, a trip to to the River City (Memphis) just wouldn't be right if you didn't drop by Elvis's old hangout: Graceland . Even if you're not an Elvis fan, you can't help but be moved by the mansion that stands out as a reminder of the lavish life of, and the cold hard trials suffered by one of the 20th Century's most recognizable figures.

If you visit Memphis, you have got to visit Graceland and take a stroll on Beale Street. Try to catch a concert in the Pyramid, or even better, go to the concert series of Memphis in May.

Don't walk alone at night in downtown, midtown, orange mound...or anywhere else for that matter. Memphis holds the number 2 crime rate in the country, so...BE WARNED!!

When in Memphis, most people visit Graceland. Along with that you need to go to Sun City, the actual birth place of rock-n-roll. Eat at Rendevous, not just for the ribs, but order the Bar B Que Nachos, yum yum.

My favorite tourist attraction in Memphis has to be the Police Museum on Beale Street. I mean, 19 years old, drunk as a skunk, drunk enough at least to try and bribe an officer with a donut, and not one cop even wanted to know if I was 21 yet. The wall showing those who died on duty left a deep impression, however, and I loved the display of badges.
