I feel like I should have been born in Texas! I LOVE DALLAS TEXAS! It's like a more artistic less crowded Chicago. I would have moved there if it weren't so damn hot in the summer! It's the home of Mary Kay, Big Hair, Makeup, and southern manners and ettiquette...which I lack! There is plenty to see, experience, and take in! Lots of hot boys in trucks raised right by their mamas! Food and shopping is fabulous too. There's something for everyone!

Dallas is one of these flat places, not really my favorite. Downtown has some chic restaurants, I have also been to good places in plano, off the legacy exit. Visited JR's farm where Dallas was shot years ago. But mostly I'm just passing through DFW on my way to better destinations.

Be careful when riding the metro. Your safety can change quite a bit with each stop you reach.

Avoid the southern, eastern and western portions of dallas at night, if you are unfamiliar with the area. South Dallas can be crime ridden at night, but also has wonderful attractions such as the Dallas Zoo. Make use of DART Rail, its a decent metro system that can get you to walking distance of most tourist spots. Mind you that Dallas is the number one city (over 1 million pop.) city for murder in the U.S., so its wise to keep your wits about you at all times.
