Orting is a beautiful little town with a great close view of Mt. Rainier.

It can be easy to get lost your first time around, if you're not prepared, or just new. It is better to travel here in daylight. There are some nice places to see anyway.

Puyallup Fair is an experience you'll remember for years to come! If they still have them, their "Earthquake Burgers" are MORE than a mouthful! (More than a Stomachful, too!) So if you're there during Fair Season be sure to drop in and enjoy the festivities and soak up the local cultures that make it one of a kind!

STAY AWAY FROM MERIDIAN. Especially during rush hour. You'll never ever ever get off of it. Just trust me, I'm local.

One of the best little garden stores is off of main street, called Van Lierop's Garden Market.  They always have creative ideas for things you can do at home with things like shovels and rakes and such.

The fairgrounds host all sorts of events year round. I would recommend, however, the Puallup Fair, which is a statewide competetitive roundup of all the local talent.
