The Space Needle is awesome. But. I enjoyed myself sooo much at Pike's Pier! A must if you go to Seattle! The fabulous little shops, the wonderful atmosphere, and friendly locals! Seattle is a place I could live!!!!!

I had my wallet stolen in a Green Tortoise hostel in Downtown Seattle, the staff weren't exactly helpful, I couldn't call home from the desk because it didn't accept outgoing international calls and nobody would give me any change for the phone. Avoid this place at all costs, it was a dump, though I did meet a couple of nice Welsh guys to play cards with. It was close to the market though and that was first class, also it was (handily) close to a Western Union, so I was able to collect some cash and get a cup of coffee 30 minutes after crying down the phone to home! Also, the area was a bit threatening at night, lots of people hanging around on corners, not the best for solo female travellers.

In Seattle, looking for somewhere economical to stay can sometimes be tricky, we were lucky to be sent by the Moore Hotel to the Panama Hotel off Main street and second avenue. Although the bathrooms and toilets are shared, everything was perfectly clean. This hotel is cosy, packed with history, the bed are springy, the linen is hand-made, and in the ladies toilet ... there is a bath!

Seattle is a place where you don't have to spend money to stay! It's filled with housing co-ops, homes where a group of individuals make collective decisions on living and home maintenance. Google search co-op seattle and you will find a place to stay for free! Couch surfing is safe and easy here in the Emerald City.

Ballard's fun 2 visit because there's all the shopping, dinning, and best of all the Ballard Locks!!

Nice clean city . A lot of sightseeing to do . Great sportsfacilities
