Cheyenne, Wyoming, United States Don't plan on staying long....not much to do!! Good tip? (+1) Cheyenne, Wyoming, United States My all time favorite! The Rodeo. Cheyenne is known for Cheyenne Frountier Days. The rodeo is the biggest attraction there. Horse back riding, watching the bull riders, and some mighty fine cowboys! Good tip? (0) Cheyenne, Wyoming, United States I grew up here. A nice place to visit in the spring and fall. Stay away during the winter. In the summer you have to visit during Cheyenne Frontier Days. At one time it was the world's largest outdoor rodeo. I don't know if it still is. It happens during the last full week of July. Great night shows where some country's biggest stars come out to perform. Good tip? (0) Cheyenne, Wyoming, United States Stay at the Nagle Warren mansion. It's a 19th century Victorian that serves high tea on Friday and Saturday. We weren't expecting such hospitality in Cheyenne. Very pleasantly surprised. Good tip? (0) Cheyenne, Wyoming, United States The state Capitol (Cheyenne is the capital of Wyoming) is the least impressive Capitol there is. It's one of the smallest states of the Union by population so, no surprise. Good tip? (0) Cheyenne, Wyoming, United States my best friend ever lives there!! Good tip? (0) Cheyenne, Wyoming, United States If you're in Cheyenne during the last half of July, you must attend Frontier Days! Be sure to go to the Rodeo and stay for the entire afternoon. Then get some carnival food on the midway. Good tip? (0) South Greeley, Wyoming, United States honestly there is not much, here but the university, but they do have a good school. Good tip? (0) Cheyenne, Wyoming, United States Cheyenne didn't really appeal to me. If you have to drive on I-80 through Wyoming in the winter months, be prepared for whiteout conditions. If the weather gets too bad, the state will close the highway (they have stop arms that will swing down into the traffic lanes, not unlike the arms at a railroad crossing). Good tip? (0)
