In the whole of vietnam: renting a motorcycle for yourself is heavenly

nothing here really unless you like to see old buildings and the like. EXTREMELY boring for a thrill seeker. but sif you prefer sight seeing, it might be ok.

find a friendly local to take you on the back of his moped to the perfume river and the surrounding towns... one of the boatmen will sail you back to town... wonderful wonderful wonderful...

Hue was the imperial capital of Vietnam ... so there are related sights to see... its lovely to sit by the river and watch here as well... and, yes, this is the tailoring capital of Vietnam now... so get something stitched if you want the experience...

If you're travelling with friends/family, just rent a private dragonboat to go down the Perfume River. The boat drops you on every site along the river to visit ancient tombs and they even cook whatever you want from the market directly on the boat. It's cheaper than the "public" ones and you may choose to visit whatever you want

The Countryside: Take a Motorbike and ride through the beautiful countryside of Hue and stop at a Monastery to have lunch

Flat, easy to navigate city, hire a bike and tour the older parts of the city with ease at your own pace. The City is recently famous for a major battle between North Vietnamese troops and American troops but of course there is much much more to the city than this, oozing history and fantastic architecture.
