Ho Chi Minh City, South-East Vietnam, Vietnam Beware of the mad traffic, take small steps when crossing the road and get travel insurance!! Good tip? (0) Ho Chi Minh City, South-East Vietnam, Vietnam being driven around in vietnam is the most crazy experience...we went to mui ne a 3-4 hour drive and it was insane!! four cars driving side by side on a two lane road!!! driving anywhere between 40 and 120k!!!
Then theres the fact that the cars are on the wrong side of the road and the driver on the wrong side of the car!!
Scary actually scary enough you don't need a theme park just go for a day trip...lol Good tip? (0) Ho Chi Minh City, South-East Vietnam, Vietnam Change money at any legal money changer or there's one in Bne Thanh Market

Backpackers area.. more info for attractions there.. Pham Ngu Lao Street..

Local food is cheap but be careful.. Good tip? (0) Ho Chi Minh City, South-East Vietnam, Vietnam Make sure to take a cyclo ride around the city! It's an easy way to see the best spots in the city. The driver will drop you off and wait while you explore. Be sure to tip the driver well...it's a hard job. Good tip? (0) Ho Chi Minh City, South-East Vietnam, Vietnam To get around Vietnam you must catch a bus. The bus trips are very long due to the undeveloped roads. My tip is to not travel with a company called T.M Brothers Cafe. They are convenient as there are alot of them, but the buses are not nice and they do not care about the customer. The bus doesn't have a toilet on board which means using (very dirty) squat toilets alot. I travelled with this company overnight about 4 times and they stop ALOT during the night, unexplainedley, which adds alot of time to the already long trip. They turn off the bus during these stops and it becomes very hot. I recommend travelling with someone else for sure. I went with Sinh Cafe also and they were luxury in comparison. There is a toilet on board and no unexplained stops along the way. Good tip? (0) Ho Chi Minh City, South-East Vietnam, Vietnam the hooker are still 5 dollar Good tip? (0) Ho Chi Minh City, South-East Vietnam, Vietnam For travellers going "Free Easy", make sure enough time is allocated for a trip to HCMC as... 1. You can only go to One location / day 2. Tours / trips are bought on a daily basis 3. Trips start at 8am, meaning that you can't go on a tour on your arrival day (will arrive at your hotel at about 10am, due to jams) recommend: 5D4N or more Good tip? (0) Ho Chi Minh City, South-East Vietnam, Vietnam You can use motorcycles for an easier and cheaper get around Good tip? (0) Ho Chi Minh City, South-East Vietnam, Vietnam The traffic in this city is insane, filled with fast-moving motorcycles in every corner you go to! The official count for these motorcycles is around 6 million of them, but once you get down to the streets it looks more than that. Joining the chaotic traffic, then, is surely a bizarre experience you don't want to miss. Try riding a cyclo instead, it'll give you more on-the-ground feeling in a more traditional mean. But make sure you make a very clear price deal before you hop in, or else they will try to rip you off. Good tip? (0) Ho Chi Minh City, South-East Vietnam, Vietnam One of the places I would recommend with no reservations, Ho Chi Minh City is a sight to see, with a bustling nightlife, great (and cheap) delicacies, a well-preserved culture, and for you history junkies out there, many war remnants. Cu Chi Tunnel is a must. It is located in the suburbs of the city, but easy to get to nonetheless since cab fare is so cheap. There are deserted tanks, and anyone is allowed to fire live rounds from a real M16 if they pay a little out of their pocket (a few USD, not over 10). The nightlife is great too. Pha mu lau (not quite sure how to spell it, my apologies) is a great place for cheap drinks, so is Eden, located adjacent to it. Bounce is a good hiphop club and has impeccable western furnishings. Other than that, there is shopping at Diamond Plaza during the day, which also boasts an accessible bowling alley. Good tip? (0)
