When you arrive in port, take a taxi to Morningstar Beach. It was one of my favorite beaches and it also has a nice outdoor restaurant centrally located if you are hungry. I only went to Magen's Bay once, but it is also nice. There is also a great restaurant that serves burgers, salads and a lot of other stuff. I can't remember what it is called, but it is literally a block forward when you step off of a cruise ship in port. Keep in mind though that if you eat anywhere in St. Thomas, you need to be prepared to wait. They are in no hurry at all.

Lots of stores here that you see everywhere in the Caribbean. But the H. Stern Outlet -- it's one of a kind and has gorgeous gems and gold.

hardrock coffee is a bit unusual, even for a hardrock cafe.

Go visit megans bay!....its good place to relax

Take the ferry to St. John for a day trip to see a less settled island

Jewellry stores gallore. Great prices. Check out the Sea World, they have some really interesting creatures there as well as sharks you can swim with. Easy to get around, great deals on clothing as well.

I recommend Megan's Bay. A beautiful beach that's on the opposite side of the island from where the cruise liners pull in. Nice people and a great beach.
If you MUST go to McD's or BK they will ask you "stayin or goin?" in a thick island accent which at first won't sound anything like "for here or to go?"

Bring lots of sunscreen, sandals, shorts and light clothes. Oh and don't float too long and watch the sharks.
