Great stop for a day trip, or split time between this and the Fire museum.

Early morning, before the teenagers and twenty-somethings have crowded it with too much cologne and drunken antics this is one of the most peaceful places in OC. Take a walk, stop by the Lifesaving museum and head to the beach.

Make sure you reserve at least half a day to walk through this castle. Incredible to think of the time and effort that was used to build it. Sunset here is particularly chilling/striking.
