Folowing a visit in 1963, the Spanisch surrealist Salvador Dalí, declared this city's railway station the centre of the universe. Above the station is a monument in Dali's honour, and across the surface of one of the main platforms is painted, in big letters,  'Perpignan centre du monde'. The roof of this railway station is very impressive and it's worthy a visit when you're around!

It's Europe's largest sand dune and is nearly 3 kilometres long, 500 metres wide, reaching 107 metres in height, and moving inland at rate of 5 metres a year. It is really amazing to climb up the dune. Especially by night the view is really beautiful!

It's a very nice little bar in the centre of Almelo. A nice place for meeting your friends and drink a beer.

It one of is the best hostels I've ever been! You got an amazing view over the city, because the hostel is situated on a hill. The city centre is walkable and the owner is a great guy! He knows a lot about the city and the history of the country, and he organises tours acros the city which are very good. And occasionaly he trows a bbq. One downsite, you have to walk a steep road to the hostel.. But it's worth the effort!

Nice hostel in the middle of the city. It's a cosy place with great people from all over Europe. The hostel crew are great, the party's are good and the city is very beautiful!
