I happened to live very near to Baga during 1962 when Lake Chad was full of fish and people still lived on Floating Islands. Baga was loacted right on the edge of teh Lake and had about 3000 people living there.

All around was dry brushland and even just at a distance of 1/2 mile from teh Lake edge, there was only scrubland, not even trees or bushes.

I would like to return to see the difference.
