Great if you are looking for a gritty, old school New York City experience. Rooms are very small and dirty...clean thoroughly before putting anything down or touching the surfaces...bring Lysol Disinfecting Wipes and hand sanitizer for bedroom and especially for bathrooms. Bathrooms are 4 per floor, shared between about 15 rooms. Window a/c units...might need to ask for an extension cord in order to plug it in. Bring your own sheets. All in all, gritty but neat way to experience NYC...definitely different from the usual, and although not posh by any standards, it will be memorable.
