really delicious food with nice service in a picturesque location half way up the mountain (or rather hill at around 400m?) Loebauer Berg. Offers also function rooms and accommodation. Perfect for all occasions from a relaxed brunch or a romantic dinner to a special event.
The Nazca lines are really incredible and it remains a mystery to date how they were created and by whom. And apart from the fascinating pictures, the whole experience can be a true challenge: The best way to see them is to take a flight (it's about half an hour), however, those seem to be scheduled without an apparent logic behind it - well, at least I couldn't really figure it out. And the planes are small machines that only take the pilot and 3 passengers, so if you've got problems with roller coasters or if you are claustrophobic, you may not enjoy this kind of adventure.
This is probably the best 2nd hand book store I've ever been to! Really cosy and full of books, but easy to go through and to find what you're looking for. You won't be disappointed!!! Try also the cafe upstairs. This place is the perfect "plan B" on a rainy afternoon.
In the sheep shop everything is about ... can you guess? yes, sheep! Very cute souvenirs, admittedly some are a bit cheesy, but hey, you will love this shop, even if you don't like sheep!
Blair Castle is a stunning castle situated in a picturesque landscape in the heart of Scotland. As it is less than 3 hours drive from Edinburgh it is the ideal destination for a weekend away. By the way, it belongs to the Duke of Atholl - the only one in Europe to have a legal private army.
The Pilsner Urquell brewery in Plzen is a definite must - no matter if you like beer or not, you should put it on your sightseeing list due to its historic significance. Very good and interesting guided tours available in several languages.
Salvador Dali made this town famous and the museum is as extravagant as the artist. Showing pictures and sculptures it gives a very good insight in the strange and sometimes hard to understand mind of Dali.
The zoo in Leipzig is an absolute must! You can see that a lot of money and time has been spent to create a fantastic place for animals to live in as well as for people to visit.
