It takes a car to do a good tour of Natchez, since the houses are spread throughout the town.  Stay at one of the many B&Bs for a true step back in time.

lovely stone church on a hill, site of many stories, some of which may even be true.  Wonderful acoustics.

Delicious Pan Dulce!  I heard about it (eavesdropping) while waiting outside the ZDT indoor amusement park [not recommended]  Even at 4pm on a Sunday, everything was beautiful and fresh.

My paternal grandparents lived there years ago when I was between the ages of 7-9.  There's not much there that I know of.

walk, walk, and walk some more.  Enjoy adjacent China Town another day.  Don't miss City Lights (duh!)

it's been awhile, but they'd been at it awhile then, since I visited this great meat & 3's cafe.  My coconut pie was prosaic, with a tall meringue (dry on the outside, tender on the inside) and a barely warm, perfectly set custard cradled in a flaky crust that shattered at the touch of the fork.  My notes on the rest of the meal are long gone, but the memory of that pie lingers on.

Put on your walking shoes, drink plenty of water, and be prepared for wondrous sights and smells.

What's not to love?  the new larger location has the cafe on the 2nd floor in addition to the 1st floor snackbar.  Wear comfortable shoes.

Get out and walk.  Spend lots of money.  Eat at Mandina's: shrimp remoulade and onion rings.  Ride the Streetcar.  Pray for peace and healing.

the streets of  the Lower East Side & Upper West Side--I can walk for hours and eat 6 times a day.
