A decent restaurant when you have had enough of the chicken with rice from the street. The food is tasty, however it looks like they tried hard to make it 'fancy' restaurant by importing European ingredients, which adds to the relative high costs, instead of using local produce in a more (lighter) way. The atmosphere is slightly pretentieus, but the service is definitely Surinaams! 

The two of us got this contact through friends (als always in this country), his name is Kenneth and unfortunately that is all the contactinfo I have. (Probably he's well known in Nieuw Nickerie, though). He toured us around the Bigi Pan nature reserve in his boat, while showing us the different kinds of wildlife such as small alligators and birds.
